Snowmass Village is a town located in Pitkin County, Colorado. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,822.

Geography

Snowmass Village is located at 39°12'51" North, 106°56'43" West (39.214104, -106.945288)¹.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 66.2 km² (25.6 mi²). 66.0 km² (25.5 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.35% water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 1,822 people, 864 households, and 393 families residing in the town. The population density is 27.6/km² (71.5/mi²). There are 1,734 housing units at an average density of 26.3/km² (68.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 97.37% White, 0.16% African American, 0.05% Native American, 0.71% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.66% from other races, and 1.04% from two or more races. 2.63% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 864 households out of which 19.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 41.1% are married couples living together, 2.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 54.4% are non-families. 36.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 2.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
