Geography

Shiloh is located at 33°56'12" North, 80°1'26" West (33.936614, -80.023938)¹.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 25.2 km² (9.7 mi²). 25.2 km² (9.7 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.21% water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 259 people, 84 households, and 66 families residing in the town. The population density is 10.3/km² (26.6/mi²). There are 94 housing units at an average density of 3.7/km² (9.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 38.61% White, 58.30% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 3.09% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 3.47% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 84 households out of which 25.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.4% are married couples living together, 21.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 21.4% are non-families. 17.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
