Geography

Shaker Church is located at 48°3'10" North, 122°14'47" West (48.052713, -122.246453)¹.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 12.3 km² (4.7 mi²). 12.3 km² (4.7 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 787 people, 260 households, and 215 families residing in the town. The population density is 64.2/km² (166.5/mi²). There are 266 housing units at an average density of 21.7/km² (56.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 59.34% White, 0.51% African American, 35.20% Native American, 0.51% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.89% from other races, and 3.56% from two or more races. 7.88% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 260 households out of which 40.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.4% are married couples living together, 15.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 17.3% are non-families. 14.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 1.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
