Shady Shores is a town located in Denton County, Texas. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,461.

Shady Shores is located at 33°9'42" North, 97°2'2" West (33.161669, -97.034015)¹.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 7.5 km² (2.9 mi²). 7.5 km² (2.9 mi²) of it is land and 0.34% is water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 1,461 people, 532 households, and 403 families residing in the town. The population density is 194.5/km² (504.1/mi²). There are 592 housing units at an average density of 78.8/km² (204.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 96.58% White, 0.14% African American, 0.48% Native American, 0.21% Asian, 0.07% Pacific Islander, 1.57% from other races, and 0.96% from two or more races. 6.71% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
