Roann is located at 40°54'40" North, 85°55'25" West (40.910973, -85.923565)¹.

As of the census of 2000, there are 400 people, 153 households, and 117 families residing in the town. The population density is 858.0/km² (2,226.4/mi²). There are 164 housing units at an average density of 351.8/km² (912.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 98.00% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.25% from other races, and 1.75% from two or more races. 0.25% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
