Plain Grove Township is a township located in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 854.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 46.5 km² (18.0 mi²). 46.3 km² (17.9 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.50% water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 854 people, 316 households, and 243 families residing in the township. The population density is 18.4/km² (47.7/mi²). There are 351 housing units at an average density of 7.6/km² (19.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 98.95% White, 0.23% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.35% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.47% from two or more races. 0.47% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
