Perry Heights is a town located in Stark County, Ohio. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 8,900.

Perry Heights is located at 40°47'49" North, 81°28'8" West (40.796808, -81.468910)¹.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 7.7 km² (3.0 mi²). 7.6 km² (2.9 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.35% water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 8,900 people, 3,545 households, and 2,456 families residing in the town. The population density is 1,176.8/km² (3,050.9/mi²). There are 3,674 housing units at an average density of 485.8/km² (1,259.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 95.17% White, 2.78% African American, 0.31% Native American, 0.24% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.57% from other races, and 0.93% from two or more races. 1.44% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 3,545 households out of which 31.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.4% are married couples living together, 11.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 30.7% are non-families. 25.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.44 and the average family size is 2.93.
