Pacific City is a town located in Tillamook County, Oregon. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,027.

Geography

Pacific City is located at 45°12'19" North, 123°57'38" West (45.205243, -123.960475)¹.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 10.0 km² (3.8 mi²). 9.7 km² (3.7 mi²) of it is land and 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.86% water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 1,027 people, 485 households, and 317 families residing in the town. The population density is 106.0/km² (274.7/mi²). There are 1,090 housing units at an average density of 112.5/km² (291.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 94.16% White, 0.00% African American, 1.75% Native American, 0.58% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 2.04% from other races, and 1.46% from two or more races. 3.02% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 485 households out of which 13.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.8% are married couples living together, 6.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 34.6% are non-families. 30.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 14.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
