Orange Township is a township located in Ionia County, Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 1,040.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 93.3 km² (36.0 mi²). 93.2 km² (36.0 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.08% water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 1,040 people, 375 households, and 294 families residing in the township. The population density is 11.2/km² (28.9/mi²). There are 407 housing units at an average density of 4.4/km² (11.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 97.69% White, 0.00% African American, 0.29% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.77% from other races, and 1.25% from two or more races. 1.06% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
