Eutaw is a city located in Greene County, Alabama. As of the 2000 census, the population of the city is 1,878. The city is the county seat of Greene County.

Geography

Eutaw is located at 32°50'26" North, 87°53'21" West (32.840680, -87.889037)¹.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 11.9 km² (4.6 mi²). 11.8 km² (4.6 mi²) of it is land and 0.22% is water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 1,878 people, 778 households, and 504 families residing in the city. The population density is 158.7/km² (411.1/mi²). There are 899 housing units at an average density of 76.0/km² (196.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 33.01% White, 66.03% African American, 0.27% Native American, 0.21% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.48% from two or more races. 0.37% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
