Chagrin Falls is a village located in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 4,024.

Geography

Chagrin Falls is located at 41°25'52" North, 81°23'19" West (41.431217, -81.388717)¹.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 5.5 km² (2.1 mi²). 5.4 km² (2.1 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.90% water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 4,024 people, 1,862 households, and 1,100 families residing in the village. The population density is 750.6/km² (1,943.2/mi²). There are 2,041 housing units at an average density of 380.7/km² (985.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 98.71% White, 0.05% African American, 0.02% Native American, 0.45% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.22% from other races, and 0.55% from two or more races. 0.89% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 1,862 households out of which 27.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.9% are married couples living together, 7.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 40.9% are non-families. 36.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 16.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.14 and the average family size is 2.81.
